You can use either your email address OR Username (if different) to log in to the system. If you wish to change your username follow these steps: 
  1. Log in
  2. Click on User Settings
  3. Click on Account
  4. Click on Edit Account
  5. Scroll down and click on Create Username Alias
  6. Enter the new Username
  7. Click Save
